Meet Lisa

Lisa Roestenberg, our Lead Career Development Practitioner at Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC) is a mentor, supporter, and embodies dedication to our mission.

Lisa’s daily work is integral to WRDC’s mission of empowering women in trades and technology. She guides clients through the career planning process to explore career options, instilling the confidence to pursue traditionally male-dominated fields. Her mentorship extends her impact, ensuring colleagues achieve similar results.

Before WRDC, Lisa built her career in career development, including employment counseling and working with individuals facing employment barriers. Since joining us in November 2019, she has supported nearly 50 clients in the Orientation to Trades and Technology (OTT) program, with 15 confirmed to have graduated or currently completing post-secondary programs.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology and a Career Development Certificate from Memorial University. She achieved Career Development Practitioner Certification in 2021.

Outside of work, she enjoys running, yoga, and quality time with her family. A fun fact about Lisa – she’s an identical twin often mistaken for her sister!
