Hailing from an entrepreneurial background, Carolann Harding brings wealth of knowledge to the WRDC board. Carolann is team player that stimulates creativity, problem solving and consistently achieves results. Combine that with diversified experience in international business development, project management, relationship building Carolann brings strong leadership skills to her role as Board member of WRDC.
Over the last 30 years Carolann has help a variety of position within the Provincial Government that has focused on international business development, policy and community development. Carolann’s day to day focus is helping companies and organizations explore growth opportunities. Her expertise areas are cultural exports such as film/TV production & music, Supplier Diversity, Women in Business, and international business development. Carolann is a graduate from both Memorial and Dalhousie Universities where she studied vocational and adult education, business, human resources development and costume design. 1990 Carolann was named the Youth Entrepreneur of the Year for NL and in 2002 won a Public Service Award of Excellence form the Provincial Government. In March 2014 Carolann received a 2013 World of Difference 100 Award presented by The International Alliance of Women (TIAW). Each year, this award is given to individuals from around the world whose efforts have advanced the economic empowerment of women locally, regionally or internationally.
Carolann also is a board member of the Newfoundland Symphony Youth Orchestra, Gala Chair of the Parkinson’s Society of NL, School Council Member at St. Paul’s Junior High and a member of the St. John’s Northwest Rotary Group.
