Why We Share Pronouns in Our Email Signature

Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC)

An act as simple as sharing pronouns creates awareness around how individuals choose to refer to themselves in a way that reflects their gender identity. We foster inclusion when we acknowledge and use a person’s correct pronouns. This demonstrates solidarity, respect, and affirms their gender identity.

At Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC), we recognize that inviting individuals to share their pronouns is an important part of creating an affirming, safer, and more respectful environment for all. We respect everyone’s right to choose whether or not to share their pronouns and will always honor their decision.

At WRDC, we lead by example with integrity and empathy. We support personal growth and advocate for gender equality. We recognize the importance of continued learning, knowledge-sharing, dialogue, and action grounded in our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

It’s one of the important ways we walk our talk.
